IIDD, July 13th

Hi Legs:

Don't worry about confirming. If you can make it, then fine. We'll have two tables but Whirlygig's amore, Kerry, often has to leave a bit early to take her daughter Tia, home to bed. Furthermore, Cora Lee and I can share hands, helping out with pouring hootch, serving appetizers and fishing over-bidders out of the harbour! The Pitchforks will be along, as well as The Penguin so it should be fun. Gen Petreros has also indicated that he might be pulling up alongside in a mine sweeper! Ragin' Bull has always been extremely territorial and is certainly more so now that he is wearing a Captain's hat so there may well be plenty of fireworks!t Let The Battle of False Creek begin! We look forward to you being there but understand if you can't make bloodbath. If you will be able to join Pirates of the Spruce Harbour Marina, don't worry about bringing any food, just some mealworm infested hard tack and plenty of grog!

L'Chaim and Cheers, Il Conduttore!

Hi Kids!

Trust ferry ride went well and you are now sipping fabulous wines at Madroña Manor! This just in from Flash:

I'll let you reply to Flash yourselves, if this is the missing earring. Hello to Lurch and Grogg. See you sometime on Thursday. Cheers, Il Conduttore!

Following for the Uppity Californians!

If you have a weak candidate and a weak platform, wrap yourself up in the American flag and talk about the Constitution. -Matthew Stanley Quay, senator (1833-1904)

Hi Flash and Super K!

It was a simply wonderful evening! Thank you both, so much. The food, the wine, the delightful dining Al Fresco, the charming entertainment provided by Elise and Margot, nothing but magic! I know Cactus and Donna Florida were more than ecstatic to see the family and the family mansion and simply catch up a tad.

Sorry that you will miss the malt tasting but know camping will be fun. Thanks again for template. Perhaps we can arrange another tasting, at some point in everyone's busy schedules/lives, and include your parents, if that might work, as I know your father enjoys a wee dram.

I sent along your message to The Uppity Californians. I do believe the earring belongs to Nancy so I know she will be pleased to know it has been located. If indeed, it is hers, we'll give you a shout and arrange for a pick-up. All else failing, you could leave it under a full bottle of Springbank, on the back deck, and we will pop around to collect both! Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizio!

Hi Donna Florida and Vinnie!

Apparently ransom is two full cases of wine from Grogg's cellar! One for Flash, one for me as middleman!

PS: I now realize that I may well have to collect you at Horseshoe Bay, burdened as you will be with two high, high-end cases of wine!!! All is well here and it is not raining! Yet!!!

Hi Whirlygig!

This in from Barnacle Branko, regarding bridge on the bridge:

Patriçio,

I will make up a batch of my infamous lamb stew. As for pot luck, contributors, be aware that I have a microwave, small toaster oven, two burner stove (currently on the fritzo) and a BBQ (currently in need of severe cleaning). I fully intend to have the BBQ & stove working, but keep in mind I do not have a gourmet kitchen.

Given the Captain's contribution to main course, I assume you will probably want to bring something that suits your dietary standards. Will work on a more detailed menu shortly.

The Glankinchie you mention is the one I had in mind so go ahead with purchase. I was down there earlier today and have decided I will bring the Scapa 16year old. Have yet to decide upon last one, a Highland malt. Peter wants me to buy it for him as he will be flying in from Denver that evening. He was off to Chile on the Monday following our dinner at their place in Naramata on Saturday. What with all the travel for business and work on his vineyard when home, he just hasn't had time to search for malts and Duty Free can be iffy, in terms of interesting selections, depending, of course, where one is in the world.

Time for a few shoulder exercises. Are you riding these days? Let me know. Cheers, Il Conduttore!
