Glad to learn that you arrived safely, even to rain! Don't worry, we suffered through almost a full day of very, very wet weather yesterday at Fest. Your Mom, The Weasel, didn't join us till later in the afternoon when it had finally started to dry up. Looks like today will be cloudy but otherwise dry so looking forward to seeing more of the wonderful, wonderful performers.
Make sure you take a walk through the Flower Market. Van Gogh Museum is a MUST. Did you buy an Amsterdam Card? Well worth it, depending, of course, what you want to do and how you wish to get around the city.. The Public Library, near Science Museum, (we didn't visit it as didn't have time, so not sure what it is like), is well worth a visit as there is free Wifi there, although you have to register first. Not a big deal but a great way to gain access to the Net if you are having trouble elsewhere. Very interesting building as well. That whole area was under construction last year so not sure what it is like now.
