IIDD, December 1st

My life has been full of terrible misfortunes most of which never happened. -Michel de Montaigne, essayist (1533-1592)

Mark,

I would probably ride again tomorrow around midday if I thaw out from today’s jaunt.

Pat,

With the current start time at 2nd & Stephens, Ray and I will be at the Heartswim Terrace at about 12:10. G

  • Ayn P Very funny Dad...your life was only made richer and more challenging by my existence

  • Patrick James Dunn Definitely, inordinately more challenging, certainly financially poorer, of course, but without question, richer by far, emotionally, than the fabled treasures of King Solomon's Mines!
Hi Patrick,

Sorry for delay for RSVP, as I overlooked this particular email. Thank you for invitation, but unfortunately I and my wife could not attend due to a pre-schedualed plan. See you this Sunday. Cheers Moe

Hi Moe!

Sorry you and Mary won't be able to join us on 11th but glad you can come this Sunday. Cheers, Patrizio!

Hi Allen!

Great to meet you at Margaret's party! Just by chance, after we were chatting about wine and malt, I received two messages. First from Vines of Mendoza and the other from Laphroaig. Obviously, both are marketing tools but I enjoy the pictures and many of the Vines' articles. If you join Laphroaig you are "deeded" a square foot of Islay so one could camp there, free of charge, standing up under an umbrella, sipping malt all night long!

Attended a wonderful concert at VPL last evening, a fund raiser Cora Lee, (my long-suffering wife), had organized for Friends of VPL. It was a dramatic reading, with piano and vocal accompaniment, of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The performers were all very, very accomplished artists so it was an entrancing performance, traditional carols, (breath taking sopranos), interwoven with inspired, in-character voices. Marvelous way to begin the season. Following on that, Chloë, (our youngest, (35!), daughter), and I opened the first panel of my Rupert Bear Advent Calendar, Rupert leap-frogging over Badger, a few minutes ago! (I grew up on the island of Cyprus in early '50's so was steeped in British Children's Literature.) Funnily enough, Laphroaig has an on-line Advent Calendar as well. I'm hoping to win, (via my plot #), one of daily prizes. Have a close friend in North London so will have distillery mail it to her as impossible to have it delivered here! Will then be waiting for me on our next trip to England!!!

Keep in touch and let's try to arrange an evening at our place, when convenient. You are welcome to bring along your daughter, alone or with a friend, if that works for you. All the best. Cheers, Patrizio!

Hi Jimmy Olsen!

Just wondering if you would be able to Photo-shop this snap of Clarisse and Dusty. If you can "remove" chap and light in background that would be terrific. They'd like to use picture for their Christmas card. If you are too, too busy, don't worry. However, if between lattes, you have a moment to spare, let me thank you, in advance, for your consideration and resolution, so to speak, of this matter! Cheers, Patrizio!
